Evaristo Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robinho Urbano in the 3rd minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Lupere FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho Urbano came free, but Evaristo Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomás Toscano made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Stuart Legzdins sent off a good shot on target. 16 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's Robinho Urbano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evaristo Neves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Costa in the 17th minute of play forced Lupere FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Evaristo Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robinho Urbano in the 19th minute of the match. Henry Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evaristo Neves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henry Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Stuart Legzdins who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Thomás Toscano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thomás Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino Goldstein in the 29th minute of the match. Lupere FC - DMZ's Evaristo Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robinho Urbano in the 31st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Henry Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evaristo Neves was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Evaristo Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The corner led Capibaribe Stars's Wilton Fontes to fire away a dangerous shot which Evaristo Neves despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Stuart Legzdins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Thomás Toscano made a huge save. After 41 minutes Capibaribe Stars's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Atso Joenväärä who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Atso Joenväärä almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Capibaribe Stars's Thomás Toscano did a great save. Evaristo Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Stuart Legzdins made the kick off in the second half. Lupere FC - DMZ's Atso Joenväärä managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Albino Gaskon in the 55 minute of the game. Stuart Legzdins scored 1-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomás Toscano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Evaristo Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 67th minute, Robinho Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thomás Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stuart Legzdins in the 71st minute of the match. Thomás Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stuart Legzdins in the 74th minute of play. Stuart Legzdins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Edu Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Edu Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lupere FC - DMZ's Evaristo Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Costa in the 82nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Lupere FC - DMZ defense, Henry Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evaristo Neves. The Lupere FC - DMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evaristo Neves should have stopped the shot. Capibaribe Stars made a substitution. Flóki Factor replaced Robinho Urbano. After 85 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Lothar Matthäus. 94 minutes into the match, Stuart Legzdins notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Capibaribe Stars's Thomás Toscano. Thomás Toscano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
