Nuno do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Remo Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 minutes of play, Guararapes's Ragıp Işık made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remo Fontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 21 minutes into the match, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Ragıp Işık came free, but Remo Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Nuno do Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ragıp Işık in the 24th minute of play forced Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Remo Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remo Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vinicio Bermudo's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute Guararapes were awarded a corner. Ragıp Işık went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Guararapes's Vinicio Bermudo to fire away a dangerous shot which Remo Fontes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Vinicio Bermudo sped through Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Remo Fontes. Romeu Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Souza in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute Ragıp Işık shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 56th minute, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Wambasther van Dijk seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Wambasther van Dijk the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Wambasther van Dijk had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 57th minute of the game, Guararapes got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. After 63 minutes Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Diogo Alagoano who took care of the corner kick. Guararapes's Diogo Alagoano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Remo Fontes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 65 minutes into the match, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Rencio came free, but Remo Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remo Fontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Rencio's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Bermudo in the 68th minute of play forced Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Remo Fontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Guararapes's Vinicio Bermudo in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Guararapes booed when Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Tiago Vidal fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ made a substitution. Magno Domingues replaced Diego Souza. A collision led to Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Tiago Vidal hit a great ball. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Remo Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Bermudo in the 75th minute of play. Guararapes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Diogo Alagoano in the 80th minute. Edmundo Tande was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Romeu Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldinho Hoffmann in the 86th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alex de Medeiros in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeu Guedes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Guararapes booed when Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Remo Fontes got control of the ball when Cristian Cordoba tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 97 minutes Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Diogo Alagoano who took care of the corner kick. The Guararapes players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
