The supporters of S O B E R A N O CIMZ booed when Miau Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doriva Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute Jailson Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulkadir Eraslan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Flavinho Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Miau Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavinho Sousa couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the game, Flavinho Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Miau Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S O B E R A N O CIMZ the free kick. 30 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Fenomeno recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fran Guerola. Ronaldo Fenomeno showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Cristiano Ronaldinho took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abdulkadir Eraslan. Abdulkadir Eraslan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Abdulkadir Eraslan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Leif-Eric St. Juste got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's Edmílson Arantes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fran Guerola narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldo Fenomeno got free with Fran Guerola in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half S O B E R A N O CIMZ were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldo Fenomeno to strike the kick off in the second half. Ronaldo Fenomeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fran Guerola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fran Guerola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jailson Barral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Abdulkadir Eraslan made a huge save. Fran Guerola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 60th minute of play. S O B E R A N O CIMZ's Fran Guerola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Saldanha in the 62nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Ronaldo Fenomeno sped through S O B E R A N O CIMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fran Guerola. Miau Stars's Olavo Mota was substituted for Edmílson Arantes. In the 67th minute Jailson Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdulkadir Eraslan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
