The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 18 minutes into the match, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Gernando Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro-Facundo Buffon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Gernando Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauro-Facundo Buffon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Merusca F&P - CIMZ getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Fábio Trevisan hit a great ball. Gernando Azevedo took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauro-Facundo Buffon. Mauro-Facundo Buffon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Anderson Vidal fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merusca F&P - CIMZ's protests and gave Anderson Vidal a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes Merusca F&P - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Vidal. After 37 minutes of play, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Carlos-Henrique Casemiro made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro-Facundo Buffon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcinho Sabóia kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute. Though ot was a great shot Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's keeper João Carlos Lucas was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The Merusca F&P - CIMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Florian Capasso to strike the kick off in the second half. Fellipe Capixaba made in the 55th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Marcinho Sabóia. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fumanchu Ponta in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Carlos Lucas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's João Carlos Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho Sabóia in the 63rd minute of play. Arjen Robben sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Carlos Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Couto in the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Merusca F&P - CIMZ's zone, Gernando Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro-Facundo Buffon came out of the goal and Gernando Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ made a substitution. Gabriel Recife replaced Gernando Azevedo. In the 75th minute, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Gabriel Recife ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mauro-Facundo Buffon. Mauro-Facundo Buffon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. When Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Rafael Couto in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Rafael Couto put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of João Carlos Lucas. 87 minutes into the match, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Mangueira came free, but João Carlos Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Merusca F&P - CIMZ's zone, Gabriel Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro-Facundo Buffon came out of the goal and Gabriel Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. João Carlos Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovani Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's João Carlos Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Couto in the 93rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Carlos-Henrique Casemiro got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute Rafael Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
