The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Guilherme Mendonça managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Scarlet Speedster's Fausto Mendonça fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fausto Mendonças short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Guilherme Mendonça to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Scarlet Speedster's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edward Krzynowek in the 5th minute. Edward Krzynowek kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's Fausto Mendonça sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guilherme Mendonça narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 10 minutes, Fausto Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scarlet Speedster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fausto Mendonça succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 11th playminute. Fausto Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guilherme Mendonça having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Scarlet Speedster's Fausto Mendonça slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guilherme Mendonça. That made the score 2-0 after 16 minutes of play. The throw-in from Mathias das Neves in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Scarlet Speedster's Dom Lugano. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fausto Mendonça in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guilherme Mendonça saved FC St. Pauli from getting behind. If Oséias Sergipano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Scarlet Speedster's Fausto Mendonça in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC St. Pauli's goalie prevented a goal. If Fausto Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 32nd minute Fausto Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Ricardo Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Edward Krzynowek in the 35th minute really tested Guilherme Mendonça's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Fausto Mendonça took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Guilherme Mendonça to make any attempt to save it. Fausto Mendonça's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Guilherme Mendonça skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC St. Pauli's zone, Fausto Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilherme Mendonça came out of the goal and Fausto Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fausto Mendonça in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guilherme Mendonça, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Régis Coutinho made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in FC St. Pauli's zone, Fausto Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilherme Mendonça came out of the goal and Fausto Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC St. Pauli's Guilherme Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raigo Vananurm in the 55th minute of play. Scarlet Speedster's Váldson Bittencourt took a good shot, in the 61st minute, which hit the crossbar above Guilherme Mendonça's head, and flew over the goal. FC St. Pauli's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Scarlet Speedster. The throw-in from Mathias das Neves in the 63rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Scarlet Speedster's Anselmo Remir. After 68 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by Edward Krzynowek. Fausto Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guilherme Mendonça. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fausto Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70th minute Fausto Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathias das Neves made in the 73rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pedro Luiz Trevisan. Guilherme Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ekialde Nadal, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Guilherme Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ekialde Nadal in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Ekialde Nadal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ekialde Nadal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guilherme Mendonça read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC St. Pauli's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edward Krzynowek was slow to take the kick. During this time Scarlet Speedster's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Raigo Vananurm advanced and headed the ball into goal, 6-0 in the 81st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ekialde Nadal in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guilherme Mendonça saved FC St. Pauli from getting behind. Ekialde Nadal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guilherme Mendonça having to make a save. In the 98th minute Ekialde Nadal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guilherme Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Scarlet Speedster's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
