Stefan Rasiak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiburcio Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Tiburcio Marques left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Tadeu Xavier made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by S.C.
