Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Lehen in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wei Shu Gang in the 31st minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mickaël Maris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wei Shu Gang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrique Prata didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Laércio Penha went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Mickaël Maris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rowen Doherty's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Rowen Doherty put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mickaël Maris. Mickaël Maris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rowen Doherty in the 41st minute of the match. Grêmio Bulls's Henrique Prata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Bulls from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Laércio Penha made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Falcão got free with Mickaël Maris in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Grêmio Bulls's performance. The match ended with a win for Grêmio Bulls.
