After having played for 3 minutes, Jose-Manuel Jauregui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vetusta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose-Manuel Jauregui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abelardo Macías showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ascencio Quintas, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 10th minute of the match Vetusta got a corner. Plaza Babys CF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andresito Sacristán ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Dorio Cacheres got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Abelardo Macías quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 13th minute, Ascencio Quintas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abelardo Macías showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ascencio Quintas, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Ray De Lauw didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yasin Saleh went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ascencio Quintas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abelardo Macías having to make a save. In the 21st minute Ascencio Quintas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Macías saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose-Manuel Jauregui might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abelardo Macías. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jose-Manuel Jauregui ran back to his position shaking his head. 24 minutes into the match, Plaza Babys CF's goal looked a bit too open when Jose-Manuel Jauregui came free, but Abelardo Macías reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ascencio Quintas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Plaza Babys CF's Filippo Celli got a free kick in the 27th minute. Abelardo Macías took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose-Manuel Jauregui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 minutes Plaza Babys CF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andresito Sacristán who took care of the corner kick. A well done corner resulted in Iosu Toxeiro drilling the ball in to score 1-1 behind Plaza Babys CF's goalkeeper. Plaza Babys CF's Abelardo Macías played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ascencio Quintas in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of Vetusta booed when Plaza Babys CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yasin Saleh didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Vetusta's Ascencio Quintas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abelardo Macías. That made the score 2-1 after 41 minutes of play. Andresito Sacristán made in the 44th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Plaza Babys CF's Pietro Echavarri. Ray De Lauw took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yasin Saleh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Plaza Babys CF's zone, Ascencio Quintas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Macías came out of the goal and Ascencio Quintas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aparicio Ladra to strike the kick off in the second half. Abelardo Macías stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ascencio Quintas's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Abelardo Macías made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ascencio Quintas in the 69th minute of play. Aparicio Ladra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Ray De Lauw made a huge save. If Ascencio Quintas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ascencio Quintas in the 72nd minute of play forced Plaza Babys CF's goalkeeper Abelardo Macías to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ray De Lauw showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardino Aguilo, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After some careless play in the Vetusta defense, Aparicio Ladra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ray De Lauw. The Vetusta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ray De Lauw should have stopped the shot. Vetusta's Normando Veloso was substituted for Jose-Manuel Jauregui. After a defensive mix-up in Plaza Babys CF's zone, Ascencio Quintas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Macías came out of the goal and Ascencio Quintas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Palomar in the 84th minute of play forced Plaza Babys CF's goalkeeper Abelardo Macías to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Palomar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abelardo Macías read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Ray De Lauw made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Pietro Echavarri sent off a good shot on target. Abelardo Macías didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Normando Veloso went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
