Cristi Secoşan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Iurie Avacariței got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Grigore Moșanu put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Manuel Lovinescu. In the 16th minute FC Oltul Slatina were awarded a corner. Herbert Hök went to the cornerflag to take it. Denis Cângea was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herbert Hök got free with Ovidiu Dincă in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Cui Zhen Yong's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Lovinescu was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cui Zhen Yong in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Lovinescu saved FC Oltul Slatina from getting behind. After 23 played minutes FC Oltul Slatina got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Ubarna. Ovidiu Dincă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Ubarna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute Daniel Onega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lovinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Șerban Tilincă hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-'s Sorin Floreanu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Iurie Avacariței took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ovidiu Dincă. Ovidiu Dincă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Claudinei Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Oltul Slatina's Herbert Hök shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Ovidiu Dincă but with some difficulty. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cui Zhen Yong stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ovidiu Dincă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Coman, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 52nd minute, Gelu Coman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ovidiu Dincă was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The supporters of FC Oltul Slatina booed when Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cui Zhen Yong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-'s Ovidiu Dincă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iurie Avacariței in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Iurie Avacariței came free, but Ovidiu Dincă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaudencio Ubarna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidiu Dincă having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Onega in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Lovinescu saved FC Oltul Slatina from getting behind. A collision led to FC Oltul Slatina getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Gelu Coman hit a great ball. The supporters of Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM- booed when FC Oltul Slatina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gelu Coman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iurie Avacariței in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidiu Dincă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Oltul Slatina's Aurel Isaia was substituted for Gaudencio Ubarna. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurel Isaia in the 81st minute of play forced Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-'s goalkeeper Ovidiu Dincă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidiu Dincă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Avacariței in the 83rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Oltul Slatina had won after a very even match.
