In the 6th minute, Dinu Moșanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dinu Moșanu charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dinu Moșanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vlashers getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Dinu Moșanu hit a great ball. Dinu Moșanu kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Pauli Palander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Mustea in the 10th minute of play. Ioan Cozma kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Phoenix Strikers's zone, Ernest Mareș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ionel Panaitoiu came out of the goal and Ernest Mareș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Phoenix Strikers's Olimpiu Mustea got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pauli Palander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Galtero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Vlashers's Su Liang Le got a free kick in the 28th minute. Pauli Palander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Mascovescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The audience was convinced that Ernest Mareș's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ionel Panaitoiu was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Ernest Mareș had several of the Phoenix Strikers's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Ionel Panaitoiu as he didn't even see the shot coming.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marius Levința to strike the kick off in the second half. Emanuel Mascovescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petrică Dragu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ionel Panaitoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olimpiu Mustea hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Pauli Palander was a little too slow when Olimpiu Mustea got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 67th minute. The score was now 1-1. Phoenix Strikers's Mauricio Quentin was substituted for Ioan Cozma. Pauli Palander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Galtero, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Ionel Panaitoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduard Dumitrana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marius Levința in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionel Panaitoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Phoenix Strikers's Pauli Palander threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Emanuel Mascovescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 95 played minutes Vlashers got a freekick which was hit by Marius Levința.
