In the 39th minute, Aurel Negrilă got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Áron Szabó cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marius Ganea made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Simões in the 52nd minute of play forced FC Fanaticii's goalkeeper Andrei Pavel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Fanaticii's Andrei Pavel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Simões in the 55th minute of play. Áron Szabó could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Andrei Pavel made a huge save. 67 minutes into the match, Áron Szabó had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrei Pavel. FC Fanaticii's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Áron Szabó was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Gyepüpataka made a substitution. Valer Bădiță replaced Radu Bărbat. Árpád Illés's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrei Pavel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, FC Fanaticii's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Voicu came free, but Andrei Pavel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute Árpád Illés shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrei Pavel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Árpád Illés in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrei Pavel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 86 minutes into the match, Gyepüpataka's Valer Bădiță sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrei Pavel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Andrei Pavel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Áron Szabó in the 88th minute. Andrei Pavel made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Árpád Illés sent off a good shot on target. Áron Szabó struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Andrei Pavel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gyepüpataka. A well-hit corner resulted in Victor Rusu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely.
