Irinel Țâpu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quique Olivera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Quique Olivera kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Irinel Țâpu. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Quique Olivera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Grigore Petrea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Irinel Țâpu made a huge save. Ionică Burtea charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ionică Burtea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The wind increased when Lucrețiu Oroian made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Grigore Petrea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Irinel Țâpu. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Damiano Cherubini during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
