The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ingvar Hellkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinu Pelin, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. 4 minutes into the match, Granicerul's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Rage came free, but Remus Vuia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Granicerul's Remus Vuia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Granicerul from getting a goal against them. After 9 minutes Granicerul's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edmund Przybyciel who took care of the corner kick. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Filip Tăcutu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Remus Vuia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 12th match minute, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Tăcutu to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Dinu Pelin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ingvar Hellkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Remus Vuia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edmund Przybyciel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 27 minute of play. In the 30th minute Dinu Pelin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Hellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingvar Hellkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Colin in the 30th minute of play. Remus Vuia made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Edmund Przybyciel sent off a good shot on target. Diego Armando Maradona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Rage in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Remus Vuia, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 45 played minutes C Ａ R D I N Ａ L got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Isias. After 46 played minutes, Granicerul's Valeriu Zoreanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ingvar Hellkvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Granicerul reached it. Ingvar Hellkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Ares, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dinu Pelin was the one to do the kick off. Dinu Pelin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ingvar Hellkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Granicerul's Remus Vuia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Tăcutu in the 55th minute of play. Dinu Pelin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ingvar Hellkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd match minute, Granicerul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeriu Zoreanu to maneuver through the defense. Ingvar Hellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manole Colin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingvar Hellkvist made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Dinu Pelin sent off a good shot on target. Tahsin Paksu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Vuia having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Manole Colin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ingvar Hellkvist. That made the score 1-3 in the 79 minute of play. Edmund Przybyciel hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Remus Vuia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Rage in the 88th minute of the match. Remus Vuia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Rage, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C Ａ R D I N Ａ L were furious when Patricio Isias was red carded, 93 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to C Ａ R D I N Ａ L getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Patricio Isias hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's goalkeeper Ingvar Hellkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valeriu Zoreanu. In the 96th minute, Jack Ares reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ingvar Hellkvist. The goal made the score 1-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Granicerul had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
