Nueva Chicago's Santiago Cañizares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Pancho in the 10th minute of play. Angelo Fresnos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrei Agulescu in the 11th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Pancho in the 13th minute of play forced Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, FLAMENGO San Sebastian's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Konsel came free, but Angelo Fresnos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrei Agulescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Fresnos having to interfere. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Pancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in FLAMENGO San Sebastian's zone, Andrei Agulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Fresnos came out of the goal and Andrei Agulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Emiliano Pancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrik Konsel in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Fresnos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andrei Agulescu struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Angelo Fresnos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nueva Chicago.

Angelo Fresnos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Konsel, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. FLAMENGO San Sebastian made a substitution. Damaso Eron replaced Landolfo Macia. FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Gizon Nueva was substituted for Luciano de Queirós. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emiliano Pancho got free with Santiago Cañizares in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emiliano Pancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
