The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Nestor Gonzáles dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jaizki Valverde, 1-0. amando iglesias's Sixten Nordström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Stan in the 9th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Nestor Gonzáles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaizki Valverde was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Jaizki Valverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Gonzáles in the 20th minute of play. Jaizki Valverde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nestor Gonzáles went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 27 minutes into the match, amando iglesias's Nestor Gonzáles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jaizki Valverde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernesto Ostots was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Nestor Gonzáles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaizki Valverde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Gonzáles in the 34th minute of play forced Aysouraguán's goalkeeper Jaizki Valverde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute of the match amando iglesias got a corner. Aysouraguán's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nestor Gonzáles ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some careless play in the Aysouraguán defense, Nestor Gonzáles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaizki Valverde. The Aysouraguán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaizki Valverde should have stopped the shot. Nestor Gonzáles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 42 minutes, Peter Alacuart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aysouraguán and the amando iglesias players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Aysouraguán's Peter Alacuart got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor Stan to strike the kick off in the second half. Jaizki Valverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Gorbea in the 53rd minute of play. amando iglesias were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Aysouraguán's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nestor Gonzáles took the corner. Nestor Gonzáles made a great header on amando iglesias's corner, it was just that Aysouraguán's Jaizki Valverde managed to reach the ball for a save. After 57 played minutes amando iglesias got a freekick which was hit by Bjorn Monson. Aysouraguán's José Vítor Domingues was substituted for Feliberto Abellan. Bjorn Monson hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. amando iglesias's Sixten Nordström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save amando iglesias from getting a goal against them. Henry Salazar made in the 61st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by José Vítor Domingues. 67 minutes into the match, amando iglesias's Nestor Gonzáles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jaizki Valverde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Henry Salazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aysouraguán's Jaizki Valverde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Gonzáles in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Aysouraguán's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Gonzáles came free, but Jaizki Valverde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th match minute, amando iglesias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Martínez to maneuver through the defense. Jaizki Valverde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonatan Gorbea, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Jaizki Valverde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Gonzáles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nestor Gonzáles in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaizki Valverde saved Aysouraguán from getting behind. amando iglesias's Fredrik Øien got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Fredrik Øien off the ground. The supporters of Aysouraguán booed when amando iglesias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredrik Øien didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, amando iglesias could leave the field as winners, despite Aysouraguán having more of the ball for most of the match.
