Akis Kefallinos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Sixten Nordström made a huge save. Ignatius Casasola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Gonzáles in the 17th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nestor Gonzáles to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nestor Gonzáles. Sixten Nordström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Lousada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 minutes of play, Garanhão do SUL's Torcato Rebocho made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sixten Nordström was left in no man's land by his defense there! 62 minutes into the game, Nestor Gonzáles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Ignatius Casasola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. amando iglesias's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. After taking down the ball on amando iglesias's corner Arrosko Higuera fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ignatius Casasola quite easily take care of the ball. Ignatius Casasola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Gonzáles, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If Albano Leizarraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ignatius Casasola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Gonzáles in the 87th minute of the match.
