Torgny Landin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hurşit Üke having to make a save. Hurşit Üke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torgny Landin, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Boca Juniors's Jens-Åke Källberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torgny Landin to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerd Della got free with Hurşit Üke in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vilhelm Holm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Hurşit Üke made a huge save. Hurşit Üke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jiang Xuan Nan in the 87th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gerd Della kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hurşit Üke. That made the score 2-2 in the 88 minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
