The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Pedrão de Amorim advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-2 in the 14th minute. 17 minutes into the match, SoS FC's Pedrão de Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Göran Ekström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Outsiders FC's Deljan Nastevski in the 38th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Karl-Erik Larsson was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for SoS FC through an amazing save. In the 39th play minute Paul Prince came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Karl-Erik Larsson. 2-2. The supporters of SoS FC booed when Outsiders FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Maidana didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Outsiders FC's Göran Ekström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrão de Amorim in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute SoS FC were awarded a corner. Pedrão de Amorim went to the cornerflag to take it. Pedrão de Amorim made a great header on SoS FC's corner, it was just that Outsiders FC's Göran Ekström managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tommy Boylin in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Göran Ekström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Göran Ekström was left in no man's land by his defense there! 91 minutes into the match, Outsiders FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Boylin came free, but Göran Ekström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the SoS FC defense, Alexander Svartengren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Erik Larsson. The SoS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Erik Larsson should have stopped the shot.
