An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiktor Falkiewicz in the 19th minute of play forced Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Kajetan Dec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boruc Furgal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Rywin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ömer Halisdemir in the 25th minute of play forced Kania Gostyń's goalkeeper Boruc Furgal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucjan Bochinski made in the 28th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Kania Gostyń's Papo Seco. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Kajetan Dec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiktor Falkiewicz in the 31st minute of play. Wiktor Falkiewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Kajetan Dec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Kajetan Dec got control of the ball when Wiktor Falkiewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wiktor Falkiewicz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kajetan Dec firmly grabbed it by the left post. Wiktor Falkiewicz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 48thth minute, Kajetan Dec skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Kajetan Dec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Falkiewicz in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Fabian Rywin got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Zawisza Bydgoszcz's zone, Raúl Jiménez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kajetan Dec came out of the goal and Raúl Jiménez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Orestas Ancikas was substituted for Karl-Åke Lindström. If Wiktor Falkiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raúl Jiménez in the 66th minute of play forced Zawisza Bydgoszcz's goalkeeper Kajetan Dec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Antonello Salomone quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 84th minute, Severiano Oliverio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ömer Halisdemir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Klawke in the 87th minute of play forced Kania Gostyń's goalkeeper Boruc Furgal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kania Gostyń fans cheered their team off the field, for while Zawisza Bydgoszcz had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
