But to his dismay, Fraser Barkley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to ToonSoldiers FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Henry Aronsson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charis Vlastaras in the 15th minute of play forced ToonSoldiers FC's goalkeeper Mátyás Papp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 played minutes ToonSoldiers FC got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Coviello. In the 21st minute of the match Henry Soussan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mátyás Papp showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, ToonSoldiers FC's Henry Aronsson got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The audience was convinced that Charis Vlastaras's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mátyás Papp was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Fraser Barkley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 34th minute Charis Vlastaras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mátyás Papp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waclaw Kaczanek in the 38th minute of play forced ToonSoldiers FC's goalkeeper Mátyás Papp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mátyás Papp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waclaw Kaczanek, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waclaw Kaczanek in the 44th minute of play forced ToonSoldiers FC's goalkeeper Mátyás Papp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ToonSoldiers FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Whitypool United were winning 0-4.

ToonSoldiers FC's Mátyás Papp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save ToonSoldiers FC from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Whitypool United's Charis Vlastaras slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mátyás Papp. That made the score 0-5 after 52 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Syd Ely got free with Mátyás Papp in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Waclaw Kaczanek got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 58th minute Waclaw Kaczanek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mátyás Papp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mátyás Papp was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Charis Vlastaras showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 60 minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Fraser Barkley reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mátyás Papp. The goal made the score 0-7. In the 66th minute, Syd Ely ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mátyás Papp was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Mátyás Papp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fraser Barkley, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fraser Barkley in the 73rd minute of play forced ToonSoldiers FC's goalkeeper Mátyás Papp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by ToonSoldiers FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Henry Soussan was slow to take the kick. During this time Whitypool United's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Whitypool United's Stan Wilson getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The supporters of Whitypool United booed when ToonSoldiers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Madis Luiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charis Vlastaras in the 83rd minute of play forced ToonSoldiers FC's goalkeeper Mátyás Papp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charis Vlastaras got free with Mátyás Papp in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelo Melani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Fraser Barkley took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Mátyás Papp to make any attempt to save it.
