The crowd rose to their feet as Tage Deckbergh kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nils-Emil Askstedt. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Arktis BoIS's goal looked a bit too open when Tage Deckbergh came free, but Nils-Emil Askstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İlmi Akıncıbey in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Tage Deckbergh notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Arktis BoIS's Nils-Emil Askstedt. Nils-Emil Askstedt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nils-Erik Åhlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Eriksen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Runa United's zone, Sverker Biörkquist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nils-Erik Åhlberg came out of the goal and Sverker Biörkquist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tage Deckbergh scored 3-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nils-Emil Askstedt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joel Andreasson kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Runa United's goal looked a bit too open when İlmi Akıncıbey came free, but Nils-Erik Åhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, İlmi Akıncıbey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nils-Erik Åhlberg. Runa United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that İlmi Akıncıbey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. A well placed Tage Deckbergh short distance shot in the 39th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. The supporters of Runa United booed when Arktis BoIS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon Söderman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th match minute, Arktis BoIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dick Söderqwist to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

Runa United made a substitution. Ted Almstedt replaced Tage Deckbergh. In the 55th minute Ted Almstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Emil Askstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ted Almstedt took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nils-Emil Askstedt. Nils-Emil Askstedt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. In the 58th minute, İlmi Akıncıbey made a precise shot to the right of Nils-Erik Åhlberg. Runa United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. 63 minutes into the match, Arktis BoIS's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Almstedt came free, but Nils-Emil Askstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Runa United were awarded a corner. Sivert Rönn went to the cornerflag to take it. After having played for 66 minutes, Sverker Biörkquist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arktis BoIS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sverker Biörkquist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that İlmi Akıncıbey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nils-Erik Åhlberg was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 70thth minute of the game İlmi Akıncıbey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Runa United's Nils-Erik Åhlberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arktis BoIS's goalkeeper Nils-Emil Askstedt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 77th minute of the match, Jörn Kullgren tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nils-Erik Åhlberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 82 played minutes Arktis BoIS got a freekick which was hit by Jon Söderman. After 85 played minutes Arktis BoIS got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Åke Lövkvist. 87 minutes into the match, Arktis BoIS's goal looked a bit too open when Harry Boumans came free, but Nils-Emil Askstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İlmi Akıncıbey came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nils-Erik Åhlberg could save by the left post. Nils-Emil Askstedt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harry Boumans went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-2 was the resulting score.
