The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mattias Olofsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrian Sikström's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Mattias Olofsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Melin in the 7th minute of play. StraX Xenon FC's Mattias Olofsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helge Melin in the 13th minute of play. Helge Melin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mattias Olofsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After 18 minutes StraX Xenon FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Egil Blom who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Frogner's Egil Blom to fire away a dangerous shot which Mattias Olofsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sixten Dahlgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torbjörn Brummer in the 23rd minute of the match. Sixten Dahlgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torbjörn Brummer, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Frogner's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Hellqvist came free, but Sixten Dahlgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Frogner's goalkeeper Sixten Dahlgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jakob Palmkvist. The audience was convinced that Robert Hammarbäck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mattias Olofsson was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
