Li Han made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Karlsson in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Hedbom in the 39th minute of play forced The Charlatans's goalkeeper Ingvar Svensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ingvar Svensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torbjörn Tingberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The Charlatans's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vallentuna Kickers the free kick. A collision led to The Charlatans getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Evert Johansson hit a great ball. The Charlatans's William Sandberg was substituted for Evert Johansson. After a rather tough play, The Charlatans's Sven-Erik Åhlberg got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Vallentuna Kickers's goalkeeper Li Han had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sune Persson. Vallentuna Kickers's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
