In the 3rd minute, Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Alrot was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Alrot saved Mellbystrand IK from getting behind. 14 minutes into the game, Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Daniel Alrot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17thth minute of the game Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mellbystrand IK's Daniel Alrot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Mellbystrand IK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Älta BK:s goal. A collision led to Älta BK getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Alf Bållström hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Kurt Brogren dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Trulsson, 1-2. Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Daniel Alrot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Älta BK. Daniel Alrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink in the 35th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Älta BK's Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Alrot made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink made a kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Älta BK got a corner. Mellbystrand IK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Juan Abarca ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Juan Abarca almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mellbystrand IK's Daniel Alrot did a great save. Mellbystrand IK's Daniel Alrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink in the 55th minute of play. Daniel Alrot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink in the 57th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Mellbystrand IK's goalkeeper Daniel Alrot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink. Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink scored 1-5 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Alrot, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot 72 in the game by Fan Nan Hong from a close distance when the talented Daniel Alrot managed to make a qualified save. Mellbystrand IK's players were relieved. 74 minutes into the match, Älta BK's Fan Nan Hong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Alrot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fan Nan Hong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Älta BK made a substitution. Kenneth Grönberg replaced Elliot Kinell. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fan Nan Hong in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Alrot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 80 minutes into the match, Mellbystrand IK's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink came free, but Daniel Alrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mellbystrand IK booed when Älta BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Kurt Brogren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Trulsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fan Nan Hong in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Alrot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan Vennegoor Of Hesselink received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Daniel Alrot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Trulsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Brogren, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute, Fan Nan Hong reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Daniel Alrot. The goal made the score 2-6. When the match was over Älta BK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mellbystrand IK throughout the match.
