The coaching staff of Mellbystrand IK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gösta Botvidsson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Gösta Botvidsson hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 28 minutes in the game Fredrik Bjurström after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Daniel Alrot. Mellbystrand IK's Daniel Alrot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Mellbystrand IK from getting a goal against them. Kurt Brogren might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Li Han. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kurt Brogren ran back to his position shaking his head. Vallentuna Kickers's Li Han played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Brogren in the 44th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Vallentuna Kickers's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Brogren came free, but Li Han reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
