The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 11 minutes in the game Gabriel Jacobsson did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Nicolaas Anelka. 15 minutes into the match, Daniel Waselewicz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Hemse RK's Galen Fågel. Galen Fågel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gottfrid Haström came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Hemse RK's Aleksander Lindholm. But to his dismay, Aleksander Lindholm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 20 minutes into the match, Hemse RK's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Ferreira came free, but Galen Fågel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pihl United's Gottfrid Haström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleksander Lindholm in the 23rd minute of play. Gabriel Jacobsson kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Tommy Sundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Galen Fågel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Waselewicz got free with Galen Fågel in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute, Aleksander Lindholm ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gottfrid Haström was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Galen Fågel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Galen Fågel made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Daniel Waselewicz sent off a good shot on target. Gabriel Jacobsson hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After 41 minutes, Mathias Alfors mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hemse RK and the Pihl United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Galen Fågel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Sundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute of the match Pihl United got a corner. Hemse RK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luc Fontaine ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Luc Fontaine almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hemse RK's Galen Fågel did a great save. When Aleksander Lindholm fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hemse RK's protests and gave Aleksander Lindholm a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th match minute, Hemse RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksander Lindholm to maneuver through the defense. Galen Fågel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Ferreira in the 48th minute of the match.

Pihl United's Shea Caballero was substituted for Gilbert Alfors. Hemse RK's Frans Smedfeldt was substituted for Lirian Andonovski. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aleksander Lindholm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Tommy Sundberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Galen Fågel. Hemse RK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tommy Sundberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After having played for 70 minutes, Aleksander Lindholm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hemse RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aleksander Lindholm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Galen Fågel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Waselewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shea Caballero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hemse RK's Aleksander Samuelsson was substituted for Vivaldo Mota. In the 78th minute, Tomas Hägert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hemse RK's Galen Fågel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Waselewicz in the 80th minute of play. Pihl United's Gottfrid Haström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Pihl United from getting a goal against them. Tomas Hägert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gottfrid Haström having to make a save.
