The audience thought a goal was coming when Aleksander Lindholm got free with Gottfrid Haström in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27thth minute of the game Tommy Sundberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hemse RK's Galen Fågel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aleksander Lindholm was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Pihl United's goal looked a bit too open when Eddie Larsson came free, but Gottfrid Haström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 55 played minutes Pihl United got a freekick which was hit by Nicolaas Anelka. Harkaitz Arevalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hemse RK's Aleksander Samuelsson was substituted for Eddie Larsson. Gottfrid Haström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harkaitz Arevalo in the 74th minute of play. Galen Fågel made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Chico Dias sent off a good shot on target. Aleksander Samuelsson scored 1-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gottfrid Haström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hemse RK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pihl United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
