Ronny Westerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Kilstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonsereds IF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ronny Nilsson in the 16th minute. Ronny Nilsson made a great header on Jonsereds IF's corner, it was just that Melchester Rovers's Ronny Westerberg managed to reach the ball for a save. Ronny Westerberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Nilsson in the 19th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Melchester Rovers's Mikael Meck dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 30th minute, Ian Ekenberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stig Vikström hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sixten Sjö to make the kick off. Melchester Rovers's Ronny Westerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixten Sjö in the 51st minute of play. Ronny Westerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans Kilstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Jonsereds IF's goal looked a bit too open when Mårten Abrahamsson came free, but Gil Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sixten Sjö had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronny Westerberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Kilstedt's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Jonsereds IF's goal looked a bit too open when Mårten Abrahamsson came free, but Gil Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gil Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mårten Abrahamsson in the 75th minute of the match. Ronny Westerberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hans Kilstedt's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Melchester Rovers's Ronny Westerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixten Sjö in the 90th minute of play. After 93 played minutes Jonsereds IF got a freekick which was hit by Apolo Vela. Ronny Westerberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sixten Sjö went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Melchester Rovers were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
