The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thor Ståhlberg in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Natasha Sjøholm saved Griskultingarnas FF from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Jochem Klooster's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franco Di Massa was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 13th minute, Jochem Klooster got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Natasha Sjøholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Molander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Bergandy's Andreas Asklöv got a free kick in the 28th minute. Rune Vestberg, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Molander in the 36th minute of play forced Griskultingarnas FF's goalkeeper Natasha Sjøholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franco Di Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jochem Klooster in the 44th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thor Ståhlberg made a kick off. Jonny Balle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Franco Di Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 54 played minutes Bergandy got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Asklöv. Franco Di Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmy Busk, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Griskultingarnas FF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rune Vestberg in the 57th minute. The corner led Griskultingarnas FF's Rune Vestberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Franco Di Massa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bergandy's goalkeeper Franco Di Massa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bergandy's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rune Vestberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Griskultingarnas FF's players had a chance to rest. Franco Di Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jochem Klooster in the 62nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jochem Klooster in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franco Di Massa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 66 minutes, Jochem Klooster made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Bergandy's Franco Di Massa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bergandy's Daniel Koch was substituted for Ingvar Molander. Bergandy's Markus Kjellqvist was substituted for Per-Olof Forsberg. Andreas Asklöv's late challenge caught a Griskultingarnas FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andreas Asklöv helped the player get up and apologised. Andreas Asklöv hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Busk in the 73rd minute of play forced Bergandy's goalkeeper Franco Di Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimmy Busk scored 2-0 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franco Di Massa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Franco Di Massa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jimmy Busk's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Griskultingarnas FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bergandy the free kick.
