Bengt-Rune Widberg started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, U.C.MILÁN's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Rune Widberg came free, but Menéndez Walton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute, Qi Yi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 7 played minutes, U.C.MILÁN's Adán Ruz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Iraido Bertiz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in U.C.MILÁN reached it. Menéndez Walton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denis Schnell in the 9th minute. After 16 played minutes Fohat Neyen got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Rune Widberg. 20 minutes into the match, U.C.MILÁN's goalkeeper Menéndez Walton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denis Schnell. In the 22nd minute of the game Qi Yi made a throw-in which Espen Furre played forward. Menéndez Walton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denis Schnell in the 24th minute. After 25 minutes of play, U.C.MILÁN's Vilhelm Vilhelmsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iraido Bertiz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 30 minutes into the match, U.C.MILÁN's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Rune Widberg came free, but Menéndez Walton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Menéndez Walton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iruinea Llordes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Menéndez Walton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Denis Schnell in the 34th minute. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by U.C.MILÁN's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Iruinea Llordes was slow to take the kick. During this time Fohat Neyen's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Denis Schnell managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Fohat Neyen's Iraido Bertiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilhelm Vilhelmsson in the 38th minute of play. Iraido Bertiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Aninat, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Alvaro Quintana lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 47th minute, one of Fohat Neyen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fohat Neyen. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Vilhelm Vilhelmsson made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Jose Manuel Gajardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iraido Bertiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, U.C.MILÁN's Vilhelm Vilhelmsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iraido Bertiz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Qi Yi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Qi Yi made in the 68th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Espen Furre immediately put the ball in play. Menéndez Walton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Kirchner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Severo Aninat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexander Kirchner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Menéndez Walton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Menéndez Walton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Kirchner, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After 89 minutes of play, Fohat Neyen's Denis Schnell made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Menéndez Walton was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had been going on for 93 minutes, U.C.MILÁN's Adán Ruz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Iraido Bertiz. Severo Aninat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iraido Bertiz having to interfere. Fohat Neyen's Iraido Bertiz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save Fohat Neyen from getting a goal against them. The U.C.MILÁN supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing U.C.MILÁN would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
