Criciúma Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Laurentzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horacio Jesus Carvallo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 7 minutes into the match, Baez FC's Thalis Papazisis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evelio Antoniano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Horacio Jesus Carvallo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bieito Villaurreta's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute, Danilo Zárate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the game, Thalis Papazisis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Evelio Antoniano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thalis Papazisis in the 21st minute of play forced Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Evelio Antoniano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evelio Antoniano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thalis Papazisis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baez FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ruperto Ralondo in the 25th minute. The corner ended in Ruperto Ralondo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Criciúma Esporte Clube's Evelio Antoniano did a great save. Evelio Antoniano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thalis Papazisis in the 36th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Baez FC's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Carvallo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Laurentzi. Evelio Antoniano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ni Zhen Feng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Baez FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bieito Villaurreta to strike the kick off in the second half. Ni Zhen Feng struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Evelio Antoniano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baez FC. Frank De Jong made in the 55th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Danilo Zárate however managed to control. Danilo Zárate could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Evelio Antoniano made a huge save. 57 minutes into the match, Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Evelio Antoniano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Danilo Zárate. Evelio Antoniano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ni Zhen Feng in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Ni Zhen Feng recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Evelio Antoniano. Ni Zhen Feng showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 64th minute, Danilo Zárate reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Evelio Antoniano. The goal made the score 0-3. Criciúma Esporte Clube's Eriz Marques was substituted for Bieito Villaurreta. Criciúma Esporte Clube made a substitution. Bartolomeo Simpson replaced Rapolas Jutkus. Criciúma Esporte Clube's Evelio Antoniano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Zárate in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Laurentzi in the 81st minute of play forced Baez FC's goalkeeper Horacio Jesus Carvallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Criciúma Esporte Clube's Evelio Antoniano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Criciúma Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. Horacio Jesus Carvallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriz Marques in the 84th minute of the match. Horacio Jesus Carvallo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriz Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Horacio Jesus Carvallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriz Marques in the 91st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Zárate got free with Evelio Antoniano in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ni Zhen Feng could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Evelio Antoniano made a huge save. Baez FC played a much better game than Criciúma Esporte Clube and deserved their victory. The Criciúma Esporte Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
