Alfonso Villamarin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martial Haas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Martial Haas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Leones FC's Alfonso Villamarin. Alfonso Villamarin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Radamel-Falcao García in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfonso Villamarin saved Leones FC from getting behind. Lucas Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilio Lorca in the 28th minute of the match. Lucas Duarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilio Lorca in the 30th minute of play. Radamel-Falcao García recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leones FC's attentive Frances Muelas managed to snatch the ball when Raymon Tramontes made a throw-in in the 46th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Teofilio Lorca made the kick off in the second half. Radamel-Falcao García's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Villamarin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. If Teofilio Lorca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th minute Teofilio Lorca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haroldo Menendo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfonso Villamarin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was a well-played corner which Haroldo Menendo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s Boris Gustavsson was substituted for Martial Haas.
