If Teofilio Lorca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leones FC's Alfonso Villamarin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Donose in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilio Lorca in the 23rd minute of play forced Club Atlético Lea Papá's goalkeeper Hong Qing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alvar Ponce came free, but Alfonso Villamarin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hong Qing stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teofilio Lorca's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Hong Qing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilio Lorca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Leones FC booed when Club Atlético Lea Papá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Thompson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Leones FC's Bogdan Wolczewski seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bogdan Wolczewski the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Leones FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bogdan Wolczewski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Leones FC made a substitution. Jeremy Lambarida replaced Teofilio Lorca.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anton Donose made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Jehlička came free, but Alfonso Villamarin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Anton Donose had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfonso Villamarin. Leones FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anton Donose was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Alfonso Villamarin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Jehlička in the 62nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Alan Marinelli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfonso Villamarin was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Alan Marinelli struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Alfonso Villamarin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Lea Papá. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Aldo-Pedro Poy was substituted for Alan Marinelli. Club Atlético Lea Papá's Nahuel Molina was substituted for Gao Chuan. Alfonso Villamarin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Jehlička in the 79th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Jehlička came free, but Alfonso Villamarin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfonso Villamarin came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Lea Papá's Aldo-Pedro Poy. But to his dismay, Aldo-Pedro Poy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Leones FC's Pepillo Servin was substituted for García Galego. In the 89th minute Aldo-Pedro Poy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Villamarin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldo-Pedro Poy in the 90th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Alfonso Villamarin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Thomás Hässler fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leones FC's protests and gave Thomás Hässler a yellow card for diving instead. After 93 played minutes Leones FC got a freekick which was hit by Thomás Hässler. In the 94th match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arí Brito to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Leones FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Atlético Lea Papá.
