In the 9th match minute, Club Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Zdraşcu to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Aguilar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venancio Prejun in the 10th minute of the match. 20 minutes in the game Matthias Kiempe did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Nelson Haedo. 22 minutes into the match, Les Tigres's goalkeeper Gonzo Maradona had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ferdinand Zdraşcu. After 28 minutes Les Tigres's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luís Fernando Duarte who took care of the corner kick. A well done corner resulted in Jack Hägglund drilling the ball in to score 1-0 behind Les Tigres's goalkeeper. Venancio Prejun hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Gonzo Maradona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Haedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Les Tigres's Edvard Võsandi was substituted for Eray Toprak. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nelson Haedo to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Aguilar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvard Võsandi in the 57th minute of the match. Gonzo Maradona showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raka Hadiman in the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Olimpia's zone, Ömer-Asaf Güneş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Aguilar came out of the goal and Ömer-Asaf Güneş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Les Tigres's goalkeeper Gonzo Maradona, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alfredo Aguilar made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Edvard Võsandi sent off a good shot on target. Les Tigres's Gonzo Maradona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Haedo in the 66th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Alfredo Aguilar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edvard Võsandi. In the 73rd minute of the match Les Tigres got a corner. Club Olimpia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Severino Estevez ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Grzegorz Sokolski managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Edvard Võsandi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Alfredo Aguilar made a huge save. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Les Tigres! Gonzo Maradona had in the 78thth minute some difficulties stopping Nelson Haedo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edvard Võsandi got free with Alfredo Aguilar in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alfredo Aguilar was a little too slow when Ömer-Asaf Güneş got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 1-1. Alfredo Aguilar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ömer-Asaf Güneş in the 89th minute of the match. Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Club Olimpia from getting a goal against them. When Nelson Haedo came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Club Olimpia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelson Haedo couldn't finish the play. In the 96th match minute, Club Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Bueldi to maneuver through the defense. Lars Rönn kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
