Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edson Vuelva to make the kick off. Themba Takane was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th minute Edson Vuelva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Themba Takane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natalio Nazario in the 87th minute of play forced I.A.S.A's goalkeeper Txilar Redin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Themba Takane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Paza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. I.A.S.A's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
