The audience was convinced that Cai Wei Xi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Napoleon Dziedelonis was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the game, Timoteo Fiz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Napoleon Dziedelonis made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Cai Wei Xi sent off a good shot on target. Cai Wei Xi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Joel Enekoitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicasio Abad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peruanton Tamayo in the 30th minute of play. FERRABARCA FC's Karl-Johan Valrot managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Timoteo Fiz in the 33 minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
