After having played for 21 minutes, Micael Caicedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. West Town SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Micael Caicedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to La Academia getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Francisco Alberto Zañartu hit a great ball. When West Town SC's Angel Mena in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The wind increased when Robby Woody made the kick off in the second half. When Frutos Rojas fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored West Town SC's protests and gave Frutos Rojas a yellow card for diving instead. After 56 played minutes West Town SC got a freekick which was hit by Frutos Rojas. Iwan Grocholski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The West Town SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing West Town SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
