After a rather tough play, GuateFortín's Thierry Henry got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Bernardo Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 4th minute of play. Thierry Henry hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. 6 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Minor Godinez came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the GuateFortín defense, Minor Godinez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nery Pumpido. The GuateFortín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nery Pumpido should have stopped the shot. In the 12th minute GuateFortín were awarded a corner. Angel Alvarenga went to the cornerflag to take it. 13 minutes into the game, one of LinuX F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sven-Edvin Jansson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Bernardo Arias skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 21 minutes into the match, LinuX F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Edvin Jansson came free, but Bernardo Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nery Pumpido came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by LinuX F.C.'s Frank Soto. But to his dismay, Frank Soto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by GuateFortín's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Elmer Lozano was slow to take the kick. During this time LinuX F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Elmer Lozano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido did a great save. Bernardo Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of LinuX F.C. booed when GuateFortín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Máximo Perrone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolas Morales kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven-Edvin Jansson in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Arias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 42 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Marinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LinuX F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GuateFortín the free kick. Rodolfo Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Angel Alvarenga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Arias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Elias Pagomari kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernardo Arias. That made the score 2-2 in the 46 minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elias Pagomari stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Minor Godinez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. GuateFortín made a substitution. Mario Gomez replaced Thierry Henry. Nery Pumpido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Soto in the 68th minute. Pepe Sibaja hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. LinuX F.C. made a substitution. Jorge Padilla replaced Frank Soto. Alfonso Mena hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Elias Pagomari blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Arias having to make a save. Bernardo Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Pagomari in the 84th minute of play. After 85 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Zico Zellier. 90 minutes into the game, GuateFortín's Elias Pagomari nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernardo Arias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
