The audience thought a goal was coming when Lisandro Leoiar got free with Aguinaga Nebot in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 4th minute Oskar Petersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mías Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aguinaga Nebot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Bagge in the 5th minute of the match. Titanes Mayas were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Esmeraldas S.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Florencio Goyo took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in Titanes Mayas's zone, Willy Reynolds stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mías Marin came out of the goal and Willy Reynolds tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Titanes Mayas's Yu Chuan Jing got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 19th minute Martinez Cines shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mías Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Titanes Mayas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Stefanos Terzopoulos was slow to take the kick. During this time Esmeraldas S.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Willy Reynolds made a great header on Esmeraldas S.C.'s corner, it was just that Titanes Mayas's Mías Marin managed to reach the ball for a save. The Esmeraldas S.C. fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Esmeraldas S.C.'s Willy Reynolds looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Willy Reynolds took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mías Marin. Mías Marin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Titanes Mayas's Lisandro Leoiar got a free kick in the 36th minute. Aguinaga Nebot came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Titanes Mayas's Lisandro Leoiar. But to his dismay, Lisandro Leoiar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Willy Reynolds received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Mías Marin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lisandro Leoiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Aguinaga Nebot made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Titanes Mayas's Lisandro Leoiar got a free kick in the 45th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Damian Maftei notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Titanes Mayas's Mías Marin. Mías Marin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
Titanes Mayas's Qian Han Zhen was substituted for Bernardino Arnas. Mías Marin made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Martinez Cines sent off a good shot on target. Damian Maftei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Mías Marin made a huge save. A collision led to Titanes Mayas getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Qian Han Zhen hit a great ball. Mías Marin made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Damian Maftei sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Titanes Mayas's Mías Marin got control of the ball when Damian Maftei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Damian Maftei took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mías Marin. Mías Marin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Esmeraldas S.C. made a substitution. Daniel Castillo replaced Martinez Cines. In the 75th minute, Willy Reynolds got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Florencio Goyo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Mías Marin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Maftei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Titanes Mayas's Mías Marin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Maftei in the 81st minute of play. In the 85th minute, Stefanos Terzopoulos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Titanes Mayas's Mías Marin didn't even have to move. Mías Marin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Maftei in the 88th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Titanes Mayas's Zhang Xiang Han got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute, Qian Han Zhen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Esmeraldas S.C. played a much better game than Titanes Mayas and deserved their victory. The Titanes Mayas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
