Golden Generation's Turgay Şeren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kong Jian Ling in the 39th minute of play. Juan Alberto Allende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huang Rong in the 44th minute of the match. Turgay Şeren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kong Jian Ling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Golden Generation made a substitution. Barnaba Ciborek replaced Alex Enoaia. Golden Generation's Elivélton Cunha was substituted for Huang Rong. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kong Jian Ling to strike the kick off in the second half.
