Marc Piter kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. If Guib Cortina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Guib Cortina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Tobías Quilempan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ferdinand Johnson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Soso Cheishvili in the 25th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Guib Cortina managed to get in a good position for a shot. ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's supporters rose to their feet, but Guib Cortina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobías Quilempan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Fazzini in the 29th minute of play forced ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's goalkeeper Ferdinand Johnson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tobías Quilempan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guib Cortina in the 30th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportes La Serena's zone, Leonides Pulido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobías Quilempan came out of the goal and Leonides Pulido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 35 played minutes ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ got a freekick which was hit by Uci Pakasi. Guib Cortina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobías Quilempan having to interfere. ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ's Guib Cortina got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Deportes La Serena's Tobías Quilempan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guib Cortina in the 41st minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Guib Cortina notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Club Deportes La Serena's Tobías Quilempan. Tobías Quilempan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The wind increased when Guib Cortina made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Club Deportes La Serena got a freekick which was hit by Soso Cheishvili. Guib Cortina might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobías Quilempan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guib Cortina ran back to his position shaking his head. Tobías Quilempan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guib Cortina, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ꜱᴀᴊʀᴀꜱ ꜰᴄ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Deportes La Serena had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
