In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Though ot was a great shot Cavaliers FC's keeper Cornelio Villegas was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastián Villa in the 39th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Argoitz Abeijon made a kick off. Marcelo Barovero was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sebastián Villa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 53 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Sebastián Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cavaliers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastián Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Barovero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. River CBBA's Ponciano Abarca was substituted for Juan Funes. Boğaçhan Akyel struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Cornelio Villegas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ponciano Abarca went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Cavaliers FC made a substitution. Marcos Arano replaced Sebastián Villa. In the 78th minute, Severo Tohias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cornelio Villegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Batista in the 79th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute of the match, Florentino Dalmu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Marcelo Barovero was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sergio Batista's late challenge caught a Cavaliers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sergio Batista helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to River CBBA getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Sergio Batista hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, River CBBA's goal looked a bit too open when Desiderio Rami came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cavaliers FC's Cecilio Feliz got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Sergio Batista took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cornelio Villegas. Cavaliers FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to River CBBA getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Deng Xing Sang hit a great ball. Cavaliers FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
