The corner ended in Etxepare Angostina almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's Cafu Negri did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Zalayeta in the 11th minute of play forced Kwyjibo's goalkeeper Sylwester Wawro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Agustín Alvarez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sylwester Wawro was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Sylwester Wawro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Zalayeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Kwyjibo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lukasz Klucznik took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Lukasz Klucznik got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sylwester Wawro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 44th minute Agustín Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylwester Wawro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cafu Negri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kosin Marianto in the 46th minute. Sylwester Wawro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Alvarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
