Sonny Alén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dündar Ülkenur in the 5th minute of play. Sonny Alén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bornova's Sonny Alén played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Figueiredo in the 8th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Figueiredo in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sonny Alén saved Bornova from getting behind. After having played for 20 minutes, Kamil Momodu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bornova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kamil Momodu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute Candelario Saavedra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Alén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sonny Alén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candelario Saavedra in the 23rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Candelario Saavedra in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sonny Alén saved Bornova from getting behind. Kamil Momodu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Vacib Bartu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sonny Alén didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dündar Ülkenur went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Sonny Alén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vural Esay in the 39th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Dündar Ülkenur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Alén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kamil Momodu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute, Kamil Momodu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kamil Momodu made a kick off. 2-1 became the score in the 52nd minute when Kamil Momodu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 58th minute of the match Fernando Dracena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vacib Bartu skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Figueiredo in the 64th minute of play forced Bornova's goalkeeper Sonny Alén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Tatangelos's Vacib Bartu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kamil Momodu in the 65th minute of play. After 66 minutes Los Tatangelos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fernando Dracena who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Bornova's Fernando Dracena to fire away a dangerous shot which Vacib Bartu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sonny Alén made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Figueiredo in the 72nd minute. Jorge Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Sonny Alén made a huge save. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Tatangelos's goalkeeper Vacib Bartu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Los Tatangelos's Sonny Alén threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Candelario Saavedra, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vacib Bartu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kamil Momodu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
