Cristoforo Di Loreto was slow to take the kick. During this time Lyon's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Lyon getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Jean-Marie Parodi hit a great ball. Spadarolo's Téo Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Gaschet in the 17th minute of play. Jâninho Potiguar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniele Terrasi, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Conrad Wy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jâninho Potiguar having to interfere. Conrad Wy hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute Ryan Gaschet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Téo Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Lyon's goal looked a bit too open when Seppe De Muijser came free, but Jâninho Potiguar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lyon's zone, Seppe De Muijser stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jâninho Potiguar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seppe De Muijser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristoforo Di Loreto charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristoforo Di Loreto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Spadarolo booed when Lyon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristoforo Di Loreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lyon's goalkeeper Jâninho Potiguar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rdth minute of the game Seppe De Muijser who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lyon's Jâninho Potiguar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Conrad Wy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jâninho Potiguar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seppe De Muijser in the 96th minute of play. The Lyon fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Spadarolo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
