An unexpectedly hard shot by 何沙铮 in the 6th minute of play forced Luponero FC's goalkeeper Eraldo Cannone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was a well-played corner which Emiliano Santilli managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Joélson de Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ignaz Ecke's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Joélson de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignaz Ecke in the 10th minute of play. Genio della Lampada FC's Joélson de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurence Johnson in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Luponero FC booed when Genio della Lampada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Grönlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laurence Johnson in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joélson de Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eraldo Cannone made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristinel Mustățea in the 40th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristinel Mustățea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Amerigo Oddi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 何沙铮 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Genio della Lampada FC's goalkeeper Joélson de Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laurence Johnson. When Cristinel Mustățea fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Genio della Lampada FC's protests and gave Cristinel Mustățea a yellow card for diving instead. Genio della Lampada FC's Ciccio Cellucci was substituted for Dennis De Rossi. Cristinel Mustățea hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Eraldo Cannone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristinel Mustățea in the 79th minute of play. Eraldo Cannone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 何沙铮, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 何沙铮 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eraldo Cannone having to interfere. Genio della Lampada FC's Joélson de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dé 魏延 in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rdth minute of the game Dario De Marco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Luponero FC's Eraldo Cannone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Luponero FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciccio Cellucci came free, but Eraldo Cannone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genio della Lampada FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
