Gilberto Carretero scored 1-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arif Oğuz Cantürk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Burnley FC fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Burnley FC's Adam Huchro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Carretero in the 16th minute of play forced Burnley FC's goalkeeper Arif Oğuz Cantürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arif Oğuz Cantürk made an important save on a dangerous shot by He Xu in the 17th minute. A collision led to Burnley FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Alvise Africano hit a great ball. He Xu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arif Oğuz Cantürk firmly grabbed it by the left post. Arif Oğuz Cantürk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Carretero in the 23rd minute. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Gilberto Carretero put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Arif Oğuz Cantürk. Arif Oğuz Cantürk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Fiori, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Arif Oğuz Cantürk made an important save on a dangerous shot by He Xu in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, Burnley FC's goalkeeper Arif Oğuz Cantürk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by He Xu. Arif Oğuz Cantürk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Real Murçia FC's José Carlos Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Huchro in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Real Murçia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Carretero to maneuver through the defense. Arif Oğuz Cantürk made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when He Xu sent off a good shot on target. Arif Oğuz Cantürk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robert Billock went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. After having played for 45 minutes, Alfredo Fiori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Murçia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Fiori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Real Murçia FC's Alfredo Fiori slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arif Oğuz Cantürk. That made the score 5-2 after 47 minutes of play. Burnley FC made a substitution. Cristoforo Capuozzi replaced Uğur Arıbaş.

The wind increased when Robert Billock made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adam Huchro in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Carlos Castro saved Real Murçia FC from getting behind. In the 56th minute, Roch Hatman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Burnley FC's goalkeeper Arif Oğuz Cantürk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arif Oğuz Cantürk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Carretero in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Billock in the 61st minute of play forced Burnley FC's goalkeeper Arif Oğuz Cantürk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Burnley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Carretero came free, but Arif Oğuz Cantürk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Robert Billock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Oğuz Cantürk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Alfredo Fiori left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Murçia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. In the 74th minute, Gilberto Carretero made a precise shot to the right of Arif Oğuz Cantürk. Burnley FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-2. After a rather tough play, Real Murçia FC's Josep Sagnol got a free kick in the 77th minute. Arif Oğuz Cantürk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Carretero in the 81st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Burnley FC defense, Robert Billock kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arif Oğuz Cantürk. The Burnley FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arif Oğuz Cantürk should have stopped the shot. In the 92nd minute Gilberto Carretero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Oğuz Cantürk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arif Oğuz Cantürk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Fiori in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Burnley FC's zone, Robert Billock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arif Oğuz Cantürk came out of the goal and Robert Billock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 98 minutes into the match, Burnley FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Billock came free, but Arif Oğuz Cantürk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Real Murçia FC had played much better football throughout.
