Armando Polidori didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Pinti went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Eugenio Casiraghi made in the 26th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Alberigo Gianfrancesco however managed to control. Fausto Pinti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Polidori read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Fausto Pinti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eurospeed Asti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Pinti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Eurospeed Asti booed when XMAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anfilogino Di Nino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute Fausto Pinti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Polidori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. XMAS's Armando Polidori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Pinti in the 42nd minute of play.
