Emanuel Coekelbergh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Lionel Van Den Broek made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jason Jonckers got free with Lionel Van Den Broek in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brend Vanden Driessche hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Rolf Huveneers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hendrik Herremans read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Joachim Van Der Meren struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Hendrik Herremans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Keikoppers. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Jason Jonckers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limburg United's supporters rose to their feet, but Jason Jonckers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lionel Van Den Broek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th match minute, Limburg United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Azailla to maneuver through the defense. When Sem De Kelper came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the De Keikoppers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sem De Kelper couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute Geert Smidts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hendrik Herremans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Limburg United booed when De Keikoppers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmy Simons didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, De Keikoppers's Bavo Reijnders got a free kick in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, De Keikoppers's Lionel Van Den Broek got control of the ball when Jason Jonckers tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Limburg United getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Amador Azailla hit a great ball. Glenn De Smedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hendrik Herremans having to interfere. Bavo Reijnders hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rolf Huveneers made a kick off. In the 56th minute Brend Vanden Driessche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lionel Van Den Broek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Limburg United's Hendrik Herremans got control of the ball when Rolf Huveneers tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brend Vanden Driessche in the 59th minute of play forced De Keikoppers's goalkeeper Lionel Van Den Broek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Rolf Huveneers recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hendrik Herremans. Rolf Huveneers showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 70th minute, Jason Jonckers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Limburg United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brend Vanden Driessche in the 79th minute of play forced De Keikoppers's goalkeeper Lionel Van Den Broek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Rolf Huveneers notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Limburg United's Hendrik Herremans. Hendrik Herremans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lionel Van Den Broek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik Terwenhout in the 90th minute of play. Hendrik Herremans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Huveneers in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the match De Keikoppers got a corner. Limburg United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rolf Huveneers ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on De Keikoppers's corner Rolf Huveneers fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hendrik Herremans quite easily take care of the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched De Keikoppers eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
