Willy Van Linthout made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Freek Som sent off a good shot on target. 18 minutes into the match, Bruly's Jullian Vranx sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Harry Mik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Jullian Vranx came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Bruly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jullian Vranx couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Freek Som took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Willy Van Linthout to make any attempt to save it. Harry Mik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jullian Vranx in the 32nd minute of the match. Jullian Vranx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harry Mik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute Bruly were awarded a corner. Thys Mangelschot went to the cornerflag to take it. Thys Mangelschot made a great header on Bruly's corner, it was just that Leiden Spor Kulubu's Harry Mik managed to reach the ball for a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Hector Pello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leiden Spor Kulubu's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Pello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Freek Som came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Leiden Spor Kulubu fans jumped to their feet. Harry Mik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jullian Vranx in the 83rd minute.
